Lilo Nein hat in Wien und Hamburg bildende Kunst studiert. Sie arbeitet mit und über Performance im Verhältnis zu Texten, skulpturalen Setzungen und anderen Medien.
Ihre Arbeiten wurden unter anderem in Austria Cultural Forum New York, Museum of Modern Art Salzburg, Salzburger Kunstverein, Künstlerhaus Wien, Vienna Art Week, MA*GA Art Museum Gallarte Italy, MASS MoCA Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art, Index - The Swedish Contemporary Art Foundation, und MUSA Museo de Arte Contemporaneo de Castilla y León gezeigt.
Sie erhielt Startstipendium für bildende Kunst (BKA) 2010, Staatsstipendium für bildende Kunst (BKA) 2013. Performance Preis H13 des Kunstraum Niederösterreich 2012.
Lilo Nein (1980, AT) is a visual artist. She works with and on performance and investigates its relation to texts and other media.

Nein received the Start Stipend (2010) and State Stipend (2013) for Fine Arts by the Austrian Federal Chancellery and the Performance Award of Kunstraum Niederösterreich (2012). She was a guest lecturer at Academy of Fine Arts Vienna and Master Artistic Research at Royal Academy of Art, The Hague.
