Michaela Putz completed her Master's degree in Art&Science at the University of Applied Arts in Vienna. In her work she explores the relationship between personal and collective memories and
digital images.
She has participated in exhibitions in Austria and abroad, including Bildraum 01, Vienna Collectors Club, Fotogalerie Wien/Galerie Ostlicht, Kunstverein Eisenstadt, Parallel Vienna, Ars
Electronica Festival (Austria); Museum Villa Rot (Germany), Unseen Amsterdam (Netherlands); U10 Art Space (Serbia); Espacio de Arte Contemporáneo (Urugay); Yassi Foundation (Iran); xyz books,
imago photo festival (Portugal).
Her work has been presented in publications and artist talks and has been awarded grants and prizes, including the Start Scholarship (BMKÖS, 2019), the Annual Award for Fine Arts (Burgenland,
2018) and the BMKÖS Shanghai Foreign Studio Scholarship (2024).
