JASMIN SCHAITL

Jasmin Schaitl is an internationally active visual artist, performer, organizer, cultural manager and lecturer. She graduated in 2012 from the University of Applied Arts, Vienna. She facilitates, coaches, and shares her expertise through workshops and seminars at universities, art institutions, and performance festivals across Europe. Since more than 10 years she is developing artistic, performative, participative methods that combine the sense of touch, the theme of memory and contemplative practices. Her focus is on participatory, multisensorial formats for exhibitions/performances that allow people to engage actively. 

 

Since 2019, she has been part of the working group at the Angewandte Performance Laboratory at the University of Applied Arts, Vienna. From 2021 to 2022, she co-led the INTRA Research Project WITHDRAWING THE PERFORMER with Charlotta Ruth at the same university.

In 2024, she led the seminar Facilitating Participation. Practicing Agency, which won the LIT Call competition (JKU and Angewandte). That same year, she completed her Artistic PhD Programme at the Eugeniusz Geppert Academy of Art and Design in Wroclaw, Poland. Additionally, she co-led Narrative Presences, a socially engaged, international, cross-border project for Ukrainian refugees. This project, co-funded by the EU through the ZUSA collaboration grant, took place in Austria, the Czech Republic, and Ukraine.
