Sophie Haslinger is a curator and cultural manager with a focus on contemporary photography and ecological topics. She has been a
curator at KunstHausWien since 2022, where she in charge of developing the exhibition program. Prior to that, she was an assistant curator at the same institution, as well as for the photography festival Foto Wien. Additionally, she has curated dozens of independent projects in galleries, off-spaces, and other exhibition spaces. Sophie Haslinger has a master’s degree in art history and communication studies from the University of Vienna, and was a curatorial research fellow at the Museum of Contemporary Photography in Chicago. She regularly writes for exhibition catalogues, art books, and magazines.
